ACI 318
American Concrete Institute (ACI)
Specifies Type 1 and Type 2 mechanical coupler requirements. All Best Notch parallel threaded couplers develop ≥125% of the specified bar yield strength, meeting ACI 318 Type 2 requirements for use in seismic and non-seismic zones.
BS 8110
British Standards Institution (BSI)
The British Standard for the structural use of concrete, widely referenced across the Middle East, Asia, and Commonwealth countries. Best Notch rebar couplers comply with BS 8110 splice requirements for reinforced concrete construction.
EN 1992
European Committee for Standardization (CEN)
The European structural code for reinforced concrete design. Clause 11.5.6 covers mechanical couplers, including threaded and grouted types. Best Notch couplers meet EN 1992 and EAD 160129 requirements for European construction projects.
